MICRO WEDDING FAQ's

A Micro Wedding is a complete wedding on a smaller scale!  Your guests will be delighted and honored that they made this short and sweet guest list!  After the two of you exchange "I DO's", there is plenty of time for a charming celebration and photos in the cottage and around the property before heading off to an intimate celebration dinner or a larger reception.

HOW MUCH IS THE MICRO WEDDING PACKAGE and WHAT IS INCLUDED?

COST:  $2,495.00 + tax

RETAINER FEE:  $1,000.00 + tax due when reserving your wedding date.

REMAINING BALANCE:  $1,495.00 + tax due exactly one month prior to your wedding date.

HOW DO WE RESERVE A DATE/TIME FOR THE MICRO WEDDING PACKAGE?  

You will be required to complete a contract and pay the retainer fee to reserve this package.  

You can reserve your wedding date one of two ways;

IN PERSON:  You will need to come in on a TUESDAY during COTTAGE TOURS 3pm to 6pm to reserve a date and time.

EMAIL:  Contract and Invoice complete online.


CAN WE RESERVE ONLINE?  

Yes.  


WHERE IS OUR WEDDING CEREMONY HELD?

The COURTYARD or The WOODLANDS


WHERE IS THE RECEPTION HELD?

The CARRIAGE HOUSE


HOW MUCH TIME DO WE HAVE AT THE COTTAGE?  

4 Hours.  


CAN WE ADD MORE TIME TO THE INTIMATE CEREMONY PACKAGE?

Yes.  You can add EARLY ACCESS for a fee of $195.00.  This allows up to 6 persons on the property 1 hour prior to your package time frame.  Great for prep, decorating, or photos prior to the ceremony.


WHAT TIME CAN WE ARRIVE?

On Time.  Doors will open precisely at the start of your reserved time frame.


HOW MANY GUESTS CAN WE HAVE?  

Up to 48 guests are included in the package.  This means you can reserve this package and invite anywhere from 2 guests to 48 guests.


DO CHILDREN COUNT AS A GUEST?

Children 3 years old and older do count as a guest.


WHAT IF WE HAVE MORE THAN 50 GUESTS? 

Marry Me is very strict with guest limits.  Please be aware that a head count over 50 persons will be turned away.


CAN WE GET DRESSED AT THE COTTAGE?  

YES.  Please plan accordingly as you will have approximately 25 minutes to dress prior to the ceremony.  We allow no more than 3 persons in the wedding suite.


HOW LONG DO WE HAVE FOR PHOTOS?  

If you arrive on time and the ceremony begins promptly, you will have approximately 30 - 45 minutes for photos following the ceremony.  After that, your photographer will capture all the fun details of the reception!


WHERE CAN WE TAKE PHOTOS?

Inside the cottage and around the landscaped property.


CAN WE BRING IN A PROFESSIONAL PHOTOGRAPHER?  

Yes.  We highly recommend it!


DOES OUR PHOTOGRAPHER COUNT AS A GUEST?

No.  However, we only allow 1 photographer (not a team)


CAN WE HAVE OUR OWN OFFICIANT?

Yes.  


CAN WE WRITE OUR OWN VOWS?

Yes.  If you choose this option, please let us know.


CAN WE CHOOSE OUR OWN SONGS?

Yes.  You can choose up to 3 songs to play for the ceremony.  

A wedding party processional song, processional and a recessional song choice.


IS FOOD / BEVERAGES INCLUDED WITH THE MICRO WEDDING?

No.  You are required to hire a full service, licensed caterer and or bar service from our preferred list.


ARE THERE REQUIREMENTS FOR THE MICRO WEDDING?

YES!  

Lessee(s) MUST: (all 4 are required and verified 30 days prior to your wedding date).

• Purchase a $1m Event Insurance Policy with Marry Me COTTAGE llc listed as the additional insured.

   Event Insurance must cover liquor liability if liquor/alcohol will be on Marry Me COTTAGE llc premises.

• Hire a full service, licensed and insured CATERER from our preferred list.

• Hire a full service, licensed and insured BEVERAGE or BAR SERVICE from our preferred list.

• Security Deposit Check in the amount of $1,000.00. Check must have at least one of the lessee(s) names listed. Security Deposit is to cover any small damages, stolen goods the day of event, and or breach of the liquor policy. *This security deposit can be collected the TUESDAY following the event as long as there are no small damages, stolen items, the cottage and grounds are clean and or all persons follow the liquor policy.

• Hire a DJ to serve as the EMCEE and play music for the reception.
